Don Graham
Don had a successful management career before dedicating his life to supporting people in recovery for the last ten years. having studied and obtained a degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies, treating people with alcohol and drug addictions.
Don has been a counsellor with the Hanmer Clinic, has contracted to Waitemata Health as a clinical specialist treating clients with alcohol and drug addictions, has been a board member and trustee of charitable trusts for people in Recovery, and is currently a Director of Wings Trust, a community alcohol and drug treatment provider.
Don is both an example of personal recovery and a skilled counsellor for clients seeking to remove blocks to successfully living a happy, sober, life filled with meaning.
Simone Barclay
Simone is a clinical manager for Ahuru Lodge. She has experience in diverse clinical roles, working with high-needs mental health consumers, and mentoring at-risk youth. Simone completed her MSc in Psychology in 2010 and continues to undertake professional development, education and research. Simone has also developed a non-residential private day clinic.
Simone's strength as a clinician is in her skill as an empathic yet forthright communicator and in her ability to not only talk about, but also to live the skills and characteristics necessary to live a life free of substance dependence.
Russell Hutchinson
Russell is an experienced corporate manager and management consultant, and has an MBA from Brunel University. His work is mainly in providing management consulting to financial services companies and other businesses that require his specialist marketing advice.
He has supported the fund raising initiatives of organizations providing services for alcohol and drug rehabilitation and does volunteer work in the field. His role is to support the management team at Ahuru Lodge and provide guidance to the business.
